Case:

Brendan McKnight is an independent Brooklyn-based filmmaker, specializing in music videos with a district style inspired by horror, grindhouse and 70’s exploitation films.

Role:

When considering the genres that inspire the filmmaker, I thought about the experience of seeing a movie projected in a theater in a bygone era. The final logo was inspired by the projection of light and the creation of shadow as well as the bold and graphic opening titles of classic films. I sought to capture film history and technology in a clean and modern mark.

I continue to collaborate with this client on film title sequences and DIY prop fabrication.
